Hi! I don’t really know what I’m doing, just curious. Be honest! I know I’m not a strong applicant, but I feel like I have something resembling a shot. I’m applying to Northwestern, Umich, Duke, Stanford, NYU, Michigan State, Wayne State, and Kalamazoo. This list will probably be cut down depending on how many essays I feel like writing.

I will be submitting a really strong art supplement. I take the most challenging curriculum offered, except for math.

I’m planning on going into either a journalism, political science, or French major with an international relations minor or double major - though this will depend upon what’s being offered. My main, personal narrative-type essay is about how my passion for art has connected me to people all over the world (diversity theme, ties in with my international relations/diplomacy interests). I have strong recs from my history teacher, French teacher, English teacher, and GC - should I toss one of them for an art rec, to play that up?

Again, don’t be nice, be honest! I know my tests/ECs aren’t strong, but am I high for thinking I have a shot of getting accepted into the more difficult schools? Any recommendations for me?
