be honest...do i have a shot?

<p>i am currently a freshman at UMiami and want to transfer into a better engineering school.
the schools i am applying to are:
case western
uvirginia
vanderbilt
northwestern
columbia</p>

<p>my stats:
HS GPA UW-4.32
HS GP W-3.98
ACT-30 boo
good EC's and received my IB diploma
rank 1/300 valedictorian
College GPA after first semester-3.94
and i think i have pretty good essays this time around</p>

<p>i feel somewhat confident about case western but im not sure about the others especially northwestern and columbia...any help??</p>

<p>Your chances are very good to all of the above schools, but your ACTs are pretty low for Columbia.</p>

<p>I think you have a fairly solid shot since engineers usually have lower GPA's and yours is pretty damn high.</p>
