Huh! A fellow All-Stater! All-Eastern too for violin, that's incredible. I'm an alternate. I was in the Mixed Chorus this year. Which ensemble were you in? And you wouldn't happen to be from Westchester, would you?

I think you should be in everywhere pretty easily except for Brown, UPenn, and Dartmouth. Brown's acceptance rate is supposed to drop to 8% for RD. I was deferred Dartmouth with similar ECs (varsity tennis, music, newspaper/literary magazine) except I also do theater. I sent them a 35 ACT and 750/740/720 SAT IIs. I have about your gpa with a slightly lower rank. And I was a legacy.

This year really was super crazy. It seemed that they wanted to get all the hooks out of the way early, so they may accept more of the students they need (like you) in the regular.

Honestly, I would be shocked if you didn't get into Brown, UPenn, or Dartmouth though. You show a lot of passion in your ECs and etc. Probably boils down to essays and what the feel of you from the app. Best of luck!

SAT is good
GPA & Class Rank is a little low

But your EC's are strong, especially the violin
Instead of a long list, it would be helpful to have 3-5 major things and (such as violin) and incorporate all those things you did for it from the long list

All except BU And Binghamton are between a match and a reach
BU and Binghamton are matches

Im sure you'll get into several of the selective schools you listed, but probably not all

You're definitely a likely candidate for all of these schools. BU and Binghamton are obviously safer than the others, but I think you'll get into at least one of the others. Your extracurriculars are great, and so are your SAT scores. Good luck!

If you find the time, could you chance me back, please? :D

Wow, you're applying to a lot of colleges! I'd say you're in everywhere except the Ivies, where you have as good a chance as anyone. Like sherlock said, this is a crazy year (largest number of kids applying ever!) but you're in great shape!

well you have a pretty good chance for all of those except the IVYs, theyre very unpredictable, but youre a minority with excellent ECs and if you make your essays shine then i think you have a decent shot at them.

Asians aren't minorities anymore, they are actually somewhat disadvantaged in college admissions now...anyways, your UW GPA is a bit low, but the class rank is high and somewhat offsets it. SATs are pretty good and somewhat in the ranges of those schools. SAT IIs are okay. What really shine IMO are your ECs, especially the violin involvement. That alone should help your chances at the selective schools. BU and Binghamton are basically safe matches, anything not an Ivy is between a match and a slight reach, and Ivies are a reach for anybody, but I still think that you have a decent chance at them. Good luck!

because you have really great scores and extra curriculars that show allll kinds of interests and dedication, you will definitely be on the table for all of these schools and a serious competitor. but, like is said, they are very unpredictable and the rest is up to complete chance.
