Be Kind Be Harsh- Share your thoughts for ED Barnard

<p>It's been my absolute school. I really want to go. It offers so much that I can' work with that it seems like a foolish decision to pass up.
I am applying Early Decision to Barnard.
Here's me:
ACT Composite: 31
Math: 33
Science: 33
English: 28
Reading: 28
<em>I just cannot do English</em> It's very disappointing
Essay 10 -doesn't count</p>

Took Honors Trig, Honors Chem, Honors Eng, Honors Pre calc, Honors Physics, Honors Eng, Honors Spanish, AP World, AP Bio, AP US, AP Chem, AP Calc AB, AP Macro AP Lit, AP Psych, Multi - Calc III (it's so hard!)</p>

Speech and Debate Team- 4 yrs
Speech outside of school- 4 yrs
Volunteer at library and coordinated with Senior Librarian for a program for kids during the summer and winter- been volunteering since 6th grade
Participated in a trivia summer contest since sixth grade- one first place and top five usually
Research at university- completed a project that was part of a larger project and actually got solid data and results- 2 summers
National Honors Society- 2 yrs</p>

<p>In light of everything do I have a shot?
I mean the scores are super lopsided for the ACT and my average is not stellar but my classes weren't a walk in the park either.</p>

<p>Do you have any leadership positions? Barnard seems quite fond of candidates with lots leadership experience. Other than that, I’d say you have a good shot!</p>

<p>I initiated a program in my local library with the senior librarian. We were able to do a program for a few weeks where we did crocheting/knitting for kids from 5-18 throughout the summer and for a few weeks during the winter season.
I hope that working at uni, placing in debate and making it to state level in speech would help too!</p>
