Be sure to check your scores sent!!

I don't know, I happened to look at one school's application status site to see if they have received all of my app....anyways, turns out they never received my Oct SAT test scores. I called College Board and they claim that I never indicated 4 free schools, although I am 100% certain that is wrong. So my Oct SAT test scores WERE NOT sent to the schools that I indicated, one of which is an early application school.

I went ahead and paid rush deliver tonight, but (1) if I hadn't double checked this I would have never found out this error and (2) I am 100% certain I had 4 schools listed and so I am sure this is College Board's mistake and (3) my scores went up a lot and now I will have to call the schools and ask them to consider unofficial scores for the early app decision while they await my rushed official scores.

I just wanted to remind everyone to check and doublecheck all of the sites that you can to see if everything is being sent the way you expect it to, because this process is prone to lots of errors it seems.

This is very true and the worst part about it is that Collegeboard never admits its mistakes. They are very unhelpful when you call them and they are slow in answering emails and returning phone calls. I second this - check your sent scores and any other pertinent information to make sure everything is going through. If something goes wrong, the burden will be on your shoulders.

My friend just went through the same thing. :(

When you sign up for the SAT's and fill in all the info, print off a copy of it.

you should also have a copy of the 4 reports in your email;
i always get one a couple of days before my test

bump to top - I just read on the parents forum a post by Dean J from UVA saying that the buzz in professional circles is that other students are experiencing this same thing. I guess College Board had trouble with the Oct SAT and scores are not being sent like they should be.

I just wanted to remind everyone to check to make sure that your scores are sent like you expected. Especially if you applied early action or early decision.

Good Luck!

College Board never sent my scores that their website said were processed in August. I only found out yesterday when my counselor called me in to say that she had gotten an email from a university I applied to saying they never received my scores. I checked the other university that I sent them to at the same time's website online today, and sure enough, they never got them either. Called CB and was told they are "sorry for the inconvenience." It's definitely more than just an "inconvenience." They said my scores would be sent within 3-5 weeks. 3-5 weeks doesn't cut it when one university had an early action deadline of Nov. 1st and the other makes merit scholarship decisions in December. It is ridiculous that I have a confirmation e-mail printed out and collegeboard.com's send scores page saying my scores were sent in August but they were really never sent. I'm going to contact the colleges tomorrow...my counselor faxed school reported SATs to one college but I want them to know that it was College Board's fault, not mine for being too lazy to submit or something. Hopefully I will be able to self-report scores and then have the school called College Board to confirm them so I don't have to wait 3-5 weeks. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Note that these were additional score reports ordered, I originally took the SAT in December 2005 and my 4 schools from then all received my scores.

Question: How do you order a Rush Report of scores online?

Yeah, we lived through it and had to spend extra $...d was glad she double checked

True...I double checked my rush report before I ordered it...but the confirmation said I ordered nothing but the $26 rush fee....I called up collegeboard and haven't got any replies...and it's thanksgiving....

Jenz: just follow reguarly score sending procedure and choose rush before submitting...

I really hate CB for these kind of things. The EXACT same thing happened to me. I was positive I put my college under the free reporting service, but because of CB's stupid mistake I had to rush report it.

This is why you do like the OP did (but well in advance) and call colleges to make sure they've received everything as you send it in.

THAt HAPPENED tO ME TOO!!!

Yup, same here too. Sent the score report in October, even have the email to prove it. But it WASN'T sent. So I sent another, with the Rush Processing, and it said I sent no reports to no schools with the rush processing fee of $26. What a freaking scam. I have no way to send in my scores right now, and the only way I know the colleges will look at them is form CollegeBoard!

They haven't answered my e-mails either. Looks like I will miss a Dec. 1st deadline because of THEIR mistake.

DOWN WITH COLLEGEBOARD

ok, so does anyone know how long it takes for regular score reports to ARRIVE at the colleges?

is it really 3-5 weeks? that's ridiculous

My scores where available yesterday, and I had already indicated four free schools and plus sent to others, how can I check if the scores where sent?

When is the deadline to actually send the scores? I know that the apps with the scores filled in are due tomorrow at 11:59 p.m., but by when do you have to send your actual scores (As in go to CB's website and click on send scores to the colleges that you're applying to)?

Anyone who has proof that the scores were ordered in advance but never sent should CALL College Board. MAKE them rush the scores for free. You should not have to pay extra for their mistakes.

If you don't have documentation, then it's your word against theirs. Unfortunately, they always seem to win in this case.

After last year's scoring fiasco, they will be in real trouble in this latest snafu is picked up by the media.
