sohappysohappy this is my first college acceptance but anyway i got an e-mail from the admissions director inviting me to their multicultural celebration weekend, btw i am asian-indian so i am not a URM..."Transportation, food, and on-campus accommodations are provided." oh thank god. i didn't apply to any safeties and have been really regretting it so this is a HUGE relief. i haven't received anything in the mail yet, but responses for this thing are due march 30th so i'm sure that's why i received this e-mail. smile good luck everyone :)

i got that too :)

does it say anything about that on your status page on the WUSTL site

no, doesn't look like it

lol.. great to see you joining us....

I guess if we're black/asian/hispanic and did not get this E-mail, we have been waitlisted or something?

i got one too: brown power!!!! maharani

spotlight of the day =======> Maharani :) congrats !!

brown power go get it :D ( I already have mine do you?)

Can anyone answer my question?

no way does not getting an email right now mean that you are not going to be accepted. the people who are getting it right now are also being offered free flights and etc to spend some time there. obviously not everyone is going to be offered a free flight there, and there is plenty of time for the rest of us to see whether or not we are accepted.

my friend got a rejection today from Wash u

i know this sounds terrible...but is your friend a minority/ where do they live? because is seems to be that the "multicultural" kids are hearing first wheras us boring, bland, white kids ( i hate having to check the caucasian box) are stuck having to wait it out a bit longer

another friend of mine got accepted today too

and they're both indian. WHAT IS UP WITH THIS?!

How much longer do we have to wait?

Got my email...Hispanic multinational...got invited too..great! (Mexico via France and the US)

hey those of you who are not getting the early notification, don't worry, tho u will have to wait a bit longer

Well, I am Asian. So.. yeah.

r u a u.s citizen? or a citizen of another county? i think that might make a difference tho maybe not

what about everyone else who got the letter?
it would be interesting to know

I am a U.S. citizen.

Well, if its any consolation to anyone, I'm Indian and I didn't get the email from wustl that maharani is talking about nor have i received any correspondence from wustl . . . of course it could mean i'm rejected . . . who knows

yay brown power :D hehehe, yeah so i told my mom and she was all doubtful she was like "oh...i wouldn't count on getting in until you have a letter in your hands"...and when she came home she checked the mail and there it was :) i know another indian girl at my school who got one...but i know an asian girl and an asian boy who DIDN'T get one...i wonder if this means they didn't get in.....
