Bear Transit

okay. so im completely new to Berkeley. new to california in fact. i just flew in a week ago from Taiwan, and im completely at a loss about the trasportation.
i am currently living in Clark Kerr in building 17. i was wondering whats the best way to get to/back from campus. i've been walking for the past week.
but recently i found out theres a 49 bus that'll take me to campus that comes every 30 min. but is there any bus that will take me back to Clark Kerr from campus?
thanks for all the help.

Someone I know also lives in Clark Kerr but takes the bus halfway back to the dorms from campus,. I’m not sure if whether there’s a bus that takes you all the way back. He takes the 51B bus in front of “T-shirt Orgy Bear Basics” on Telegraph and Durant Ave, (near Unit 3); he gets off at College Av and Haste St and walks the rest of the way back.

If you just walk one block south from Clark Kerr (take either Derby or Parker), you will hit College Ave. The 51B will take you across the south side of campus and then to the BART station before heading west all the way to the Amtrak station.

Unlike the 49, the 51B comes more often – usually at 15min. However, be warned that this line is often late and should not be depended on.

My personal suggestion is to just get a bike. It’s a relatively flat ride to campus and also quick.
