<p>If you attend any sport events at Kings Point, they should be when it is USMMA v. Coast Guard. Football, Basketball, Swimming, or Baseball it does not matter what sport. If the team beats CG everyone feels good! I am flying out from the West Coast just to attend the game! If you can attend, it will be worth it. See you there!</p>

<p>not many people care about KP beating CG. i don't know why this admiral instigates such animosity towards the CGA; considering they are the ones who issue us our licenses and set the rules for our industry, it seems to make more sense to make friends with them</p>

<p>USMMA2009 - I would consider this a friendly rivalry with the winner getting bragging rights. I don't believe there is any animosity involved. USMMA has a healthy relationship with the Coast Guard, and there is definitely a sense of kinship among both groups of parents. We all have young men and women enduring the rigorous requirements of their respective academies, and we are proud of all of them, including you.

<p>Woot! KP rowers beat CG today in the Mystic Weekend of Rowing; Coastweek Regatta in New London/Mystic, CT. KP took 1st place!!! WTG KP rowers!!!! All that zero-dark-30 practice payed off this weekend.</p>

<p>Congrats...crew is a great sport. Unfortunately my son can't participate any more due to some back issues.</p>

<p>The other thing is I don't believe they count crew in the Secretaries' Cup standings. Never knew why exactly. These schools should meet in a home and home series in the spring for special trophy...men, women, fours, eights etc and come up with a point-total winner. This could be in April and we could alternate years. That would be something..a big cookout afterwards etc.</p>
<p>One last thing I'm surprised the CGA only entered one men's boat in the 4+ What's up with that?</p>
<p>WAHOOOOO!!!! What a road trip!!! I’m exhausted. I just THOUGHT I could keep up with 21 year olds. Just got back & wanted to get some photos on here before I crash & burn.</p>
<p>I DID meet Boss’s son! I made him feel comfortable enough with my Mom-ness to creep close enough for me to high five him for being so brave as to run his giant flag waving self all the way down to our end before our pirates beat him & his goonies back to their proper side. But he didn’t see the true blackness of my heart….. The Mids actually sent me over to steal the giant CG flag but when I got within hands reach, I somehow turned chicken. Too many of them & only one 5’3” me….. (I hope you realize that I am kidding.) Seriously, it was truly one of the highlights of my day. What a fantastic young man. That smile & charm are beyond compare. I was always pretty proud through Boss but now that I can add a face & a personality to it, its pretty priceless. </p>
<p>One bit of sad news to report… Jamzmom was bagged. Yes indeed & after such a glorious victory too. I was feeling all happy walking across the Grinder all alone, minding my own dang business, when suddenly I heard, “MOM!!! WAIT!!!!” I stopped, turned and looked up in the general direction of the scream. Sure enough. I had been bagged. How very sweet. :rolleyes: It took me about 2 seconds for it to sink in before I rolled my eyes & continued on my journey to collect Mids for the hourly feeding session. It ruined the rest of my evening as I spent it wondering how I, Jamzmom, was outsmarted. “Bagged”, for those who don’t know, is when the little darlings stand in their opened windows & yell down at people below then duck so they can’t be seen. Oh what fun. What joyous entertainment. And to do this to Jamzmom of all people. Rotten kids. </p>
