<p>It's also "fairly annoying" for someone who, obviously disgrunted with THEIR SCORE, posts and says "I think they are stupid, and do not measure a studen'ts ability at all." That is OBVIOUSLY false. Even you conceeded in your post that it is somewhat a measure of intelligence and aptitude. </p>

<p>No DOUBT studying can be effective - but it's the reason the collegeboard had to rewrite the entire test for this year and the UCs were going to discredit the test entirely. It's basically, although commonly done, cheating the system.</p>

<p>Clearly the SAT isn't the be all end all measurement of aptitude. But, on the other side of the issue, it most SURELY isn't "Stupid" and definitely, to one degree or another (this can be argued, but I think to a rather high degree), measures a student's ability - something i'm sure you have limitness quantities of. :-|</p>
