Beautiful acceptance packet

I just got it in the mail today, took a while. I thought the large folder with the painting of George Washington on the front was really nice. Anyone else think so, I mean, the other schools' packets were not that nice.

I agree that it was looked very nice - so that’s why they charge so much to go there!

I’m still waiting to get mine but I have a question for you guys so I know how much I have to budget. How much is the enrollment fee and if you know how much is the housing fee? Thanks

Sorry about hijacking the thread for that quick question

No worries. From what I read it said $ 800 deposit. Housing fee is a good question I did not see that on there if anyone did can you post it.

housing depends on where you live. Go to GW website and find the housing page… It’s there somewhere and breaks down each building.

800 is for everything, your spot and the housing. (what a bargain)
Yes, the package is the most beautiful one I’d seen!
Congratulations to all of you, I hope you attend GW!

Oh! I better get one of these next year!

Damnit, mine’s not here yet. ME WANT!

I don’t have mine yet! Maybe tomorrow.

If it’s like last year, $550 of the deposit is applied to tuition, and $250 is for the Colonial Inauguration (orientation).

mamabear…yes, that is what I was told over the phone.

I hope I get mine tomorrow!!!

Mamabear wrote that part of the $800 deposit was for the CI. I saw in the CI web pages that the first parent costs $150 and any other costs $100. So does that mean that we don’t send in additional monies for the CI?

CI registration for parents is done separately at the time you select which CI session to attend. Any costs for parents are separate from the $800 deposit.

It’s beautiful! :)

I want to get mine!!!

Is anyone’s personalized with a message?

Mines not, but I thought I heard last year’s were.

Here in California, we are still waiting for the package.

I think that GWU should make an effort to get information to accepted students sooner. Once SMU accepts you, you are barraged with e-mails, invitations, Christmas cards, and brochures. SMU even had a meeting in Southern California for accepted students last week. It makes you feel good to be wanted.

GWU makes you wait, then it accepts you, and then you wait again. It takes a little luster off the acceptance.

Nonetheless, I am curious to see this package. Hopefully, it will have money in it. If not, it will be SMU next year.

I finally got mine today! It’s very nice.

It still has not reached California.
