Beautiful College Campuses

Here's a link to some really gorgeous photos of college campuses submitted by readers of msnbc.com. Enjoy! :)

Thank you for sharing that. What beautiful pictures!

Those were gorgeous. I was surprised that there were no pics of the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean from Pepperdine, the gorgeous buildings and landscaping at Santa Clara university, and the beautiful grounds of Elon.

Is there a way to display them so you know where each picture was taken?

If you click on the photo, the description pops up with the school and location. The photos are really beautiful!

Fun but a bit confounding. I think it should be called Beautiful College Campus Photographs, rather than Beautiful College Campuses. (Of course, maybe I'm just miffed because it didn't include my beautiful alma mater, Wellesley College ;) ). But, I have to say that, while I love MIT (and studied and worked there), I'd never call it a Beautiful College Campus. San Diego State and UCSD, also, I don't think would ever qualify as "beautiful college campuses."

Still, those were all beautiful individual buildings and/or settings, so it shows to go you that even the "doesn't really have a campus" kind of school (UCSD) has physical beauty if you look for it.

It's strange, I can't get it to show the college name and description -- maybe it's because I'm using a Mac.

nor can I, and its not a Mac.

I have a Mac and use Firefox; just hold your curser over the the picture and the information comes up. Also if you click on the picture you can see the full information.

I have a Mac and use Safari and have no problem at all.

Interesting choices, I'd say. Go Red Raiders, Spartans, and Cyclones! (jmmom hit it perfectly.)

It had some of my favorites and many I hadn't seen before, but it was missing several I found to be quite beautiful - Rhodes, Hamilton, Southwestern. Enough Texas Tech already!

ffscout, LOL. :)

What I remember as most inspiring in my Ohio State days was not the magnificent leafy Oval or serene Mirror Lake ampitheater but the quiet Orton library, the undergrad lab facilities beyond the reach of other than a handfull of colleges and the faculty of my CE department.

Wonder if it is possible for the photographer to put a link in to the school website?

For easiest viewing, with entire caption displayed at once: click on any one photo, and then when it's large, keep using the "NEXT" buttons to view the rest.

I think anyone can submit these photos -- that's why there are a number from certain campuses ("campi"?). They are the result of someone's campus visit.

I'm currently going to Texas Tech and must say that the main campus is actually very pretty... I'm a law student however so I'm stuck in a building that resembles a dungon, and is located about 15 minutes away (walking) from the nice part of campus.
