Because I constantly want some sort of "What are my chances?"...

This is my first time posting here at CC...I'm a bit nervous, esp since everyone here seems like they're straight-A+-Noble-Prize-Winners-at-the-age-of-sixteen, but whatever, I haven't a thing to lose :-)

Yep, that's me in a nutshell. Nothing truly special about me in anyway when you look at only the stats. A bit sad.

I know I'll have really good recs, as I have excellent relationships with multiple teachers. I'm also hoping some really innovative essay idea strikes me soon, because my writing skills are a huge asset of mine and I hope to make that point clear.

I really, really, would LOVE to go to WashU or Northwestern, and double major in Poli-Sci or Environ-Sci & theatre.
My safety is UIUC.

And now the question you've all be waiting for:
WHAT ARE MY CHANCES?

Thanks, guys :-)

Northwestern- match
WashU- match

you'll probably get into one or the other.

Anybody? At all?

Well, WashU and Northwestern are gonna be reaches because of the low SAT score...but you have a great GPA, which will help you. You should definitely do ED to one of them to increase your chances.

Also, do you have any SAT II scores?

Actually, I don't think her SAT scores are bad, they just don't reflect her perfect GPA, though they definitely fall in mid-range at NU and WashU, nothing stand-out though... Definitely submit your ACT if you're not retaking SATs, it just slightly beats out your SAT score, and the avg ranges ACT at both NU and WashU are 29-33.

I think you stand a great shot, but if you can, raise that math score! SAT II scores are important too, as dvlfnfv5 noted :)

Yeah, I was wondering about whether to send in my SAT scores, or just my ACT ones. The SATII's aren't required, should I take them anyway?

Ugh I hate standardized tests, they always screw me over! Haha.

Well WashU, UIUC, and NU aren't the only schools you're applying to, right? I hope not at least. You should definitely take 2 SAT IIs in case you apply to other schools that do require them.

I honestly think that those ARE the only three colleges I'm applying to. My parents won't let me move any more than threeish hours away, so while I'd LOVE to go to the East Coast, it's out of the question. And places like Indiana and Iowa and such don't appeal to me.

I'll probably end up taking SAT II's anyway, though. Thank you for your help!

Unless anyone has any other schools they can rec, although I'm pretty sure I've exhausted every school thats by a city and is in the Midwest.

i think you def have a solid shot... interesting scores tho... 35 ACt writing but a 680 in SAT.. thats interesting... anyhow... i think you have a very solid shot... plus you're very humble... which would b appealin to me if i was an adcom.. but then again im not.. soo take it for what its worth

I KNOW isn't it weird?! I looked at my SAT writing and was like...um, are you sure?! I was baffled haha. But yeah, thanks KG974 :-)

You have a good shot, especially if you boost the scores up past 2100.

Mmmk, thanks.
