Because of the lack of rescoring threads

I've looked through a lot of the threads but couldn't find the answer that I wanted.
I took the AP Government test and ended up getting a 3.
I wouldn't be so bothered by it except for the fact that I got a 5 on the AP US test last year, and I got an A on the AP Government final which was an old AP test. Should I get a rescore?
Money isn't the problem, but I'm worried that my score could go down. Has a score ever gone done for anyone?

I haven't heard of any cases of scores going down, but I don't think it's the kind of thing most folks would brag about.

Three questions to consider before rescoring:
(1) How confident are you that you got better than a 3?
(2) Are you confident that you did well on the multiple choice? This is the only area that gets rescored.
(3) Does it change anything in terms of potential college credits? If your school accepts a 3 just as much as a 5, then you're really only doing it for the score. On the other hand, if the school offers different credit for a 3 vs. a 4, then it might be worth considering.

I'm not very confident in either history or social science, but I was worried that there might have been a mistake. I came out of the test thinking that it was a little more on the easier side, but I might have just been going in with overconfidence. I'm sure the 3 was deserved since the percentage for getting a 5 is extremely low, but I can't help but question. Thanks for the advice!!

well i think you could have gotten better than a 3.
judging from how you did on apush, and how i felt about both exams

when they rescore, do they make sure none of FR part was missing???

^ I'm not sure about that.

I've heard that people have requested rescores and they found that the FR wasn't scored at all, so I suppose it's possible. But I'm not sure how accurate those reports are.

actually, regarding the Gov test, the general consensus is that it was an easy test. so even if you did well, a few mistakes here or there could have lowered your score with respect to other test takers and therefore could have resulted in your lower score.

^I was thinking the same thing, but I just felt that I should've done better on it. But since I'm not a government guru, I completely understand how I could've gotten a 3. Thanks for all the advice/input!
