<p>Does Wisconsin offer what I need to become a doctor here? I think I'm already about to forgo Wake Forest because it doesn't have a big enough Asian population and it's too preppy for me. I want to become a cardiology or neurosurgeon but I'll worry about that when the time comes.</p>
<p>Wisconsin sends as many grads to med school as just about anywhere. It dominates admission to UW Med School.</p>
<p>Of course it does- it has a medical school after all. In fact, any college offers the required science courses for a premedical student. Your chances of being most competitive vary among schools, however, and the better schools, such as UW, will give you an edge (all other things being equal) over a "podunk" college. Not that many Asians in the state of Wisconsin-and more are Hmong, not Chinese/Korean/Indian- but I wouldn't make that a reason to forgo UW.</p>
