Im currently a junior majoring in bus/econ but i wanna go to architecture school m My school doesn't offer an architecture or engineering major. What do I do? ???

Finish your undergraduate degree and then pursue a Master in Architecture at an accredited school. The M.Arch will likely be another three years of full-time college work. Many programs accept graduates from fields other than design degrees.

But seriously, why would you want to do this? Have you had any exposure to the architecture field? Do you understand how much contraction there’s been in the field over the past decade? Do you know anything about the technology used in architectural offices today? Have you had a look at the salary ranges offered?

I might recommend that you finish up in econ and perhaps pursue employment in a real estate or development firm and become involved in the building industry from the business side. I would not recommend a jump to architecture.

Yes, the architects we know have really struggled the last few years. My field, structural engineering, hasn’t been a walk in the park, but people need us more regularly, to help solve issues in buildings. We are also more flexible because we can work on a wide variety of projects, from houses to hospitals to industrial projects. We have found that when one area, such as residential construction, lags, another usually picks up.
