bedding?

what are brands a lot of kids buy at boarding school?
marikmekko??? is one i know for sure but do you know any others?

pb teen i think

nooo not pbteen i already know about that.
That is NOT preppy esque at all.

Pip studio is really cool for girls… look it up
don’t know about boys sorry

Dormbuys

unisex stuff

not sure if their products are preppy esque but they sure are useful.

Go for your own style, if you like Gucci then buy Gucci if you like Abercrombie then buy Abercrombie. Don’t bandwagon or be a follower, be YOU bro’ trust me you’ll make way more friends if you stand out than in.

whata lie! you obviously have never been to boarding school. We all know at this age it is better to fit IN than out!

Dude, I move every 3 years( my parents are diplomats). I’ll tell you right now if you stand out, then you will make more friends than if you are boring and normal. Just be yourself. I’m not saying dye your hair blue, I’m saying wear what you like and do stuff that you like don’t be another Preppy BS Kid. And if you’re scared of being yourself then you’re insecure about yourself just like 80% of teens these days.

LOL, the kind of bedding you have isn’t going to determine how popular you’re going to be…

" We all know at this age it is better to fit IN than out! "
now if everyone had that mindset, nothing would ever get accomplished, would it? lol, just find something pretty with a high thread count.

I think you’re making a mountain out of a molehill. Buy two sets of sheets, in the appropriate size, in a color or pattern which makes you happy. I prefer cotton, as I find the cotton/poly mixes to be uncomfortable.

In the summer, many stores, such as Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond, offer anything the new college student (or boarding school student) might need in the Fall. Often, you’ll see attractive deals which include a comforter, sheets, and a laundry hamper, all in a set.

It is possible to sign up to receive sheets and towels from the laundry service. They’re probably white. (White washes well. Colored linens may fade or run in the wash.)

Kids…will your parents really just run out and buy whatever bedding you demand even though it might be ridiculously overpriced? Not us, and I thinkg not too many. My son’s bedding came from Target. We are not a wealthy family. His roommate, however, is from a wealthy family. His bedding also comes from Target.

Haha, wowwwwww, obsessing over the brand of BEDDING? How many people other than your roommate do you think will ever see your bedding? Not many girls clearly

Okay well, Target, yes Target is good. Target I can afford(: And Soccer-If you think that the only good thing is fitting in then you are just going to be another stereotype. Being yourself is always important, no matter where you are. And personally I would rather be OUT but be completely myself and happy, then be IN and being fake and always trying to fit in to some box. I, for one I know, am not in a box at all.

Guys…just choose something that looks comfortable and cool. We went to Bed Bath & Beyond and bought this set that was on sale. No one’s going to be flipping over your bedding and checking the tags and seams =]

i got mine from The Company Store, ordered it over the phone. that was a year ago, its coming back to school with me in august looking as good as new  just buy something you like, i do NOT recommend white because you have to wash it more than dark colors.

If any of you have a Tjmaxx around you I highly recommend going there because they have Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Tommy Hillfiger along with many many other bedding options for very very good prices! I think I might go get a striped Lacoste bedding for next year((:

My recommendation is to take one set of sheets with you to get started. Heating systems are so varied. In some places you may need fleece sheets come fall (they are the best for cold climates) and in others the heating system is ramped up and you may only need cotton all year.

I have the same philosophy for clothes. Take the minimum and build as the need, and your style, emerges.

i would higly recomend buying a nice and cheap memory foam topper for an oversized twin bed. here is one that i am thinking of buying soon for my dorm.
pb teen is actually pretty preppy… i have a normal pottery barn duvet/sham in the sophia print, which I’m pretty sure is discontinued. i absolutely love it [i was between that and a pb kids star wars duvet :)]

that star wars duvet is sounding pretty cool Izzy (;
I absolutely love star wars…
