Beds

I'm aware that the beds at Rutgers are twin xl and when I was there for orientation, I could not sleep for the life of me. I've looked at mattress pads to make the beds more comfortable and found a brand that I like for a very affordable price, but it only comes in twin size. Is it possible that this would work? I've looked it up online and the twins are 39 by 75 while the twin xls are 39 by 80 so I was wondering if I could make this work. Can it?

It won’t fit. If you force it, it will keep popping off while you sleep. Think about getting a foam mattress topper in addition to a mattress pad.

i got a twin and it worked for me, i had one of those yellow mattress things and i usuall put it where it alligns with the bottom of the bed since the pillow itself covers most of the empty space and its not alot of empt space like you said 1 inch. If you want to sleep like you are on a cloud get two, but one is more than enough. Not trying to be a A** but i would move in early and pick the bed first if you can. Some beds have the springs while others dont. My freshmen year bed had the worst springs and i had to get a foam mattress. Calling housing wouldnt help either, as they might give me a bed in storage infested with bed bugs

There is nothing wrong with getting there first and picking your choice of bed. You got to your room first, so you deserve something.
