beds

On the housing site there are pictures of inside a dorm room for most of the dorms. In Monroe there are bunk beds, in Sharp the beds are just regular. I'm not quite sure which dorm I'll be staying in yet, but I was just wondering if it was possible to unbunk the beds in Monroe.

Wow, I just looked at the pictures for Monroe. They have changed the rooms since my son was there 3 years ago. On the write up for Monroe it says the beds are bunkable; that leads me to believe that that you can take them down. You will have less floor space, but it seems doable. The rooms look much nicer the way they are now. Enjoy your stay!

Can you provide a link?

From here just click on the dorm you are interested in. Then click on building information. For Monroe there were actual pictures of a girls dorm room. I assume the other dorms also have pictures.

I just check the pictures of Sharp. That is how Monroe was set up 3 years ago.

Alright, sounds good. The bunk beds, while providing more floor space, just seem annoying.

I don't know about anywhere but Butler, but the pictures tickled me. Anyone who has a son would laugh at the pictures!

You don't think your S would hang 3 sets of coordinating orange and green towels from a nice towel ladder? I was sure my S was going to ask for that the minute he saw it ;)

Yeah, and I'm sure I'll suddenly be able to see the floor in his room once he gets to college, too! (The floor HERE, that is!)

does anyone know if lofts are allowed in the dorm rooms (monroe/sharp)? and if so, is it possible to rent/purchase them thru the university? thanks in advance
