Beefing up Resume

I've been trying to get an internship working in finance for this summer since late January, and it has not been very successful (I'm going into my senior year, it's terrible I know). I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas of what I could do this summer to beef up my resume, i.e. a class i could take this summer if I don't get an internship? I was thinking I could do something like that and hopefully land something in the fall, since I'll have a light course load in the fall anyway. I saw one class that takes place in NYC called the Investment Banking Institute and was wondering if I learned a good deal from that would that help me get an internship this fall. Any other ideas are more than welcome. As always thank you for the help.

I should add that I'm not necessarily looking at IBanking, I was just using that as an example of a class that would show that I wasn't just sitting around during the summer doing nothing. So really any classes dealing with finance or any certs or anything. Don't just wanna sit on my bum all summer, or do another stupid job that has no relevance to my career.

Are you a senior in high school or college?

oops sorry, College.

What is your major? List any relevant coursework in business you have taken on your resume. Also include your high school and high school activities (leadership positions, awards) on your resume in addition to your college activities. Make yourself a well-rounded candidate. Tailor your resume to the position you're applying for.

I'm currently a sophomore majoring in finance. I also had trouble this year finding something, but I'm still waiting back on some stuff. What university do you attend?

Also, if anyone has some good resume tips I would like to hear them. I put together what I thought was a pretty solid resume this year(if anyone wants to take a look let me know). I ended up not getting accepted for Ernst & Young's leadership program while my roommate did who didn't even know how to put a resume together and we had similar credentials.
