Behind in Math from the rest of the 9th graders!??!

I took Algebra in 8th Grade and currently taking Geometry Enrich in my freshmen year. So many of my friends and grade in general are already in Algebra 2 and already have advantage over us Geometry kids in different competitions and contests!
There is now no way I can catch up without risking a bad grade in a future math class!!!
I am really behind??

What is the highest-level math class your school offers? What will you take in your senior year?

You’re not even behind. You’re actually ahead of the curve by quite a bit. You’re on track to take calculus your senior year. You’ll be fine.

Yeah - if you’re on a track which ends in Calculus, you’re considered to be on a considerably rigorous math track. Most kids take Algebra I in 8th grade and only make it to Trigonometry or Pre-Cal – most colleges aren’t expecting you to have made it to courses beyond that which your high school offers.
