I want to get a new guitar, and I'm browsing Guitar Center, and honestly, being a left-handed guitarist sucks. Your options are limited, and often times, things are more expensive (like my case). Or they don't exist at all.

Or when you're sitting to the right of someone who's right-handed and you always bump elbows. I hate that.

Are any of you guys left-handed? Doesn't it suck sometimes?

I have this theory that I was born left handed, however I write right-handed. I think is somewhat common because I’ve met a couple of other people have similar expereince, write with their right hand but do everything else with their left hand.

Tennis - Left handed
Pitching - Left handed
batting - right handed
eating - left handed
bowling - left handed
teeth brushing - left handed
ect.

I think though if I wanted to it would be pretty easy to learn to write with my left hand so that I would be “officially” ambidextrious.

Probably the most irritatating thing is playing the wii left handed…I tend to hit people

^^ I also forgot to add that I have to buy special pens that dry instantly.

Smileyyy, you’re jealous.

Corey, I ALWAYS hit people when playing wii. hahahhahah.

Kurt Cobain’s death had the biggest impact ever on teens. Thank god Oasis wrote Live Forever and showed them that suicide isn’t the way to go! ;)

but aren’t lefty-s generally smarter?
And if you are canadian my sincere congratulations. I., and the rest of America, love Canadians! However, America loves Canada so much, many Americans have considered invading Canada and annexing it. I’m not supposed to tell you about this top secret plan. So… watch out.

Hmm from what I’ve heard lefties tend to be more creative, since it correlates with the right-hempisphere of the brain. Not sure in the validity of that statement though.

And lefties tend to get some perks. Like in tennis, Rafael Nadal. He’s pretty hot too actually.

thelittlemermaid, I know exactly what you mean about binders.
For my guitar, I bought custom 54’ pickups, and it took me and my friend a million years to install them, because you have to switch them up so they work on a lefty guitar.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Are any of you guys left-handed? Doesn’t it suck sometimes?

I am left-handed and hell no it doesn’t suck. I get complimented by my left-handedness. I love it. Sometimes in school, im the only left-handed in the class.

I’m left-handed and it’s possible to learn some right-handed stuff. Maybe I was born with it or maybe I learned at an early age to remember but I eat with my left (can eat with my right with more difficulty) yet I can write with my right.

As for eating, it’s a little difficult, but the others can just deal with it xP It’s also a plus when you meet a another person that’s also left handed, it’s a convo starter.
“hey omg, I’m not bumping into you!”
“i know!”

I’m a lefty…in general, I like it. I had this one class where we used to have to take tests in the theater on those little pull out desks…and there was a huge middle section with tons and tons of seats for right handed people…but if you were a lefty, you got to sit on the side section of the theater where the pull out desks were for lefties…and there were way less people, so it was much nicer. I always secretly laughed at my friends who were stuck in the sea of right handed people…it would have made me so claustrophobic. So there are perks :)
