I got waitlisted from my first choice school. The school is well known for its quriky, geeky atmosphere, so it has been suggested to me multiple times that I need to send in more information about myself and to make it quirky (ex: a handful of drawings explaining why I love the school). I personally think that it is silly and could only harm my chances of admission, but I do see how it has some merit. So if I were to find a good "medium" to express my geeky quirkiness through, should I do it?

Depending on the school, the chance of getting in off the waitlist is tiny. Personally, I’d risk diminishing an already small chance for an opporntunity to bring the odds in my favor.

Well, assuming that you have other schools that you’ve secured admission to, be creative in terms of changing the odds to your favor. Make sure that you’ve applied the passion and desire to join that school, and for the most part if people can recognize that passion through this “medium” that you’re currently working on.

Best of Luck
