Being accepted into a CSU with only IGETC requirements completed?

I have completed most of my IGETC classes and I am currently taking the last requirement class. Also I am working towards a AA degree but I don't think I will be able to finish all of the major classes by spring 2014. Is it possible to take the remaining major req classes during the summer and get the AA degree? Will CSUs accept students with only IGETC completion?

There is a separate Transfer student forum for such questions. Find it by going to the main discussion home and scrolling down.

You don’t need an AA to transfer to a CSU. You need the minimum units required to transfer, your IGETC and however many upper division units they want you to have. The CSU website has that info. You may WANT to get your AA if you are close. If that is the case, you really should talk to a CC counselor about how to handle summer when you are transferring to a university in the fall.
