Being an ebay seller: thing to put on University applications?

Does it count as a job? I think it should/does. Is it worth it to put it in your application?

i think it would count if you have seriously invested time and succeeded in this. I dont think it matters if you just sell a thing or two every few weeks though.

Yes, I think so. Especially if you're going into business.

as long as your over 18!

Thanks for the responses.

I am only 17 right now, I know it is illegal to sell on ebay if you are under 18, but I use my parent's bank account, credit card etc, under their supervision of course. Is it still okay to put it in your application? I don't want them to think I'm doing illegal stuff.

I really don't think it's necessary or appropriate.

How much time do you spend on this, and how much cash do you make?

Say that you manage your parents' eBay account for them.

i don't see how it would be appropriate to mention, considering it's illegal. aside from that, it would depend how much you sold. anyone can earn a few thousand on e-bay selling seemingly worthless stuff (it's amazing how valuable somethings we consider to be trash actually are), but earning say $10k a year for a student is impressive.

It depends on if its "Sold a bunch of my old comics on eBay, using my mom's account,"
or
"Ran a successful eBay sales business with my parents, selling vintage postcards and ephemera."

I am an eBay Powerseller (over $1,000 in monthly sales). I wrote my essay about it. What's your eBay username?
