Hi All!
I’m excited that I’ve been accepted to attend FSU in the coming fall semester. Although I’m uncertain if FSU is the school for me as I’m still weighing my options, I’m certainly considering. I’m highly concerned about diversity and finding my niche as a black girl on campus. Are there organizations (other than sororities, I know enough about those) that offer a welcoming and supporting environment for someone like myself. Please advise.
There is a Black Student Union:

Also, FAMU (a large HBCU) is nearby. I know that’s a different school, but it’s right next door.
@HeavenTW2016 FSU has a large black presence on campus but the black greeks pretty much run the social scene and there’s not much black togetherness outside that … so if you’re interested in being bullied and paying thousand of dollars to fit in with one of them you’ll thrive. Otherwise, you might spend most of your time at FAMU which is what many FSU black students do … there’s a more diverse black social scene not soley contingent on black greeks.
FAMU is better socially for black women and academically. If I was you, I’ll do FAMU undergrad, FSU grad
