Being gay and greek life

<p>Hi! I'm an incoming freshman at GW. I will probably rush this fall, but I'm also gay. This topic has probably been discussed, but I was just wondering what specific fraternities are definitely open and tolerant of gay people? </p>

<p>I know from current/past students and news articles that most of the greek life is really cool about it. However, the only specific fraternity I could find was Beta Theta Pi, but I've heard that there are tons more. </p>

<p>In general though, will I be able to fit into greek life? </p>

<p>Yes, I know that there are specific fraternities that are more catered toward gays, but most people at GW are really open and I know plenty of gay people who are in all different fraternities. It really comes down to who you bond with, but I can’t imagine anyone having a problem with it. GW as a whole is pretty open and tolerant so I’m sure you’ll find your niche. </p>
