My son is interested in Belmont's music program. Can a non-Christian feel at home there? The program looks very appropriate for his interests but the schools literature emphasizes Christian campus life.

The son of a friend graduated from Belmont a couple of years ago. He is Christian, but not fundamentalist, and he loved the place.
I would not describe Belmont as a "Christian" college. Many colleges and universities in the South will have larger and more active Christian campus groups than similar schools in the NE, because of active church attendance in the general region. That does not mean that non-church goers would feel unwelcome. I do not know if the school has an active Hillel, however.
