Hey, I'm going to apply to either Beloit or Knox as a safety. I'm interested in English with a creative writing concentration. Wondering which of the two has the better program...
Also want to get into a masters program for c.w. so it'd be good to know which school is more well-respected for creative writing.

also, if you have thoughts on which has better student life/body, campus, town, etc etc?

For Masters, I’ve heard that the University of Iowa has the best Creative Writing program in the country.

Here are some hallmarks of effective creative writing programs:
[AWP- Director’s Handbook](<a href=“AWP: Page Not Found”>AWP: Page Not Found)
Compare both programs according to these criteria and see which one matches them most closely.

Thanks crfcaio, but I am already applying to Iowa. Knox/Beloit would be just one more saftey for my list. And though I love the Iowa Masters, unfortunately, I’m only applying as an undergrad.

Thanks zapfino, I’ll definitely look at that handbook :)
