Bench/Squat stats

<p>What do you guys lift? I would sincerely love to know how strong the CC community is.</p>

<p>My bench is horrible. 135 is my max, but my squat's so much better. My max is like 245.</p>

<p>Man, I haven’t been lifting since December. I feel like a total fat ass. Anyways my peak was my sophomore year:</p>

<p>Bench: 245
Squat: 365</p>

<p>I am not ■■■■■■■■… Legs are 28" and 365 is not heavy at all, I am ashamed</p>

Squat: 230?? (Hated doing these. I usually faked it.)</p>

<p>Only reason why I worked out was because of football and basketball.</p>

<p>They’re the best lift you can do. Why don’t you like them?</p>

<p>Bench: 140 max i’ve tried, might be able to go higher, idk
Squat: 200 max, not sure if I can go higher</p>

<p>^^^ Wrong form maybe? You should really feel it in the quads more than the glutes.</p>

<p>^ Haha no wonder. Why is your bench so low compared to your squat? I have friends who hit 225 in the 9th grade.</p>

<p>Muscular imbalance? Naw, i shouldn’t be talking thought, my legs look like tree trunks compared my my arms.</p>

<p>Warm up Squats
Box Squat 3x5 (sets of 315x 5)
Leg Press 3x10 (I did 3 sets of 795 on the leg presses)
Hyperextensions 3x15 (sets of 150 x 15)</p>

<p>You can’t stand the next day</p>

<p>I am 6’ 220 lb. BTW, I never cheat on lifts. Squat to parallel and leg press: knee to chest</p>

<p>^ my gym sucks ass. We only have up to 600 for the leg press. </p>

<p>I’m too lazy to go to the squat rack and pull off weights.</p>

<p>I know I can bench at least 6lbs because my cat was sitting on my chest when I woke up today morning and I had to lift her to get up.</p>

<p>I hate squats because our weightlifting instructor doesn’t teach them, he just yells at you for doing them wrong. As a result, my squat max is a very abysmal value. My bench is okay, but not great.</p>

<p>I haven’t lifted since the fall (also pathetic, been too busy to do more than the occasional workout until recently). I’m going to start up again after AP exams, and I need to learn how to squat properly since our instructor can’t teach. I also don’t believe in machines, free weights give the best workout.</p>

<p>I weight about 160-165.</p>

<p>I only weigh 130 but I bench 135 and squat 230. Power clean 135 too. Is this good for my weight?</p>

Bench - 175lbs
Squat - 405lbs</p>
