Well, I'm currently a freshman at high school, and want to start thinking about college stuff early. I would like to go to an ivy league school, with princeton as my first choice, and plan to be a math/science student.

However, I have won some awards from the Scholastic Writing Contest at the national level; Will this help me or hurt me? I'm afraid they will think I'm not serious about math or science (I want to study biotech engineering).

Writing awards are +++++++++++++++++
Make sure you definitely apply for the NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English) award during your junior year. I never won any math/science awards, but won NCTE and some other writing awards, + went to TASP (also apply for this in 11th grade - tellurideassociation.org) and I got into Princeton.
As long as you do something very well, be it math, science, writing, viola playing, figure skating, whatever - it really helps.

Yeah I applied as a science person having won NCTE, and I got in. You don't have to commit yourself to one passion...scientists need to have good writing skills anyway. Scholastic is more prestigious than NCTE, if I'm not mistaken. No one says you can't be an engineer and a writer at the same time, especially with the creative writing certificate program, which would allow you to pursue engineering as your major but still get amazing creative writing experience. They like kids who are brilliant in one area but they certainly won't turn away someone who is brilliant in multiple areas.

How hard is TASP to get into...btw, I have 800CR, 800W...thankfully SATs aren't on there though...math score is embarrassing....So anyway, how tough is admit rate? RSI is like 4%

TASP has an acceptance rate of about 8%. The application consists of several essays and an interview. It's well worth it if anybody is considering it for next year.
