Benefits of SDSU honors program?

What are the advantages of SDSU honors program?

I am a student who is debating over attending SDSU in the honors program or attending SDSU as a normal person. I am smart but I also love to party. Will being in the honors program make my social life at SDSU worse?

Is the dorm: Maya Hall boring or lively?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of being in the honors program at SDSU?

Please clarify, and explain to me.

Thanks in advance.

Goodmorning!

South Dakota State or San Diego State?

San Diego State

If you are offered the Honors program, you should take it. Oftentimes, honors students have priority in registration for classes, etc. Check the SDSU website to see what perks they give.

My older sister is an SDSU Alum, and spent her freshman year in Maya Hall. She had a lot of fun at parties, and met lots of people who are still her friends today.

The Honors Program is wonderful and has many benefits. I wouldn’t worry about living in Maya Hall. SDSU has such a large enrollment that if you want to find a party, you will find one no matter which dorm you live in. You will also socialize with friends throughout the campus and visit them in their dorms. Maya might be small (and it is one of the oldest dorms on campus) but it has always been a fun dorm. Maya also has the pool for the dorms in that area, so it is a pretty popular place in the fall and spring. Some of the larger dorms may be loud and rowdy, but that can get old very quickly. It is fun to visit those places, but it is also nice to live in a dorm with only 200 other residents.

I’m in the exact same situation right now you were in and I’m just wondering what you chose and how it worked out.
