Hi all, I’ve taken interest in the Ben Franklin Transatlantic Fellows Summer Institute (http://bftf.org/), but cannot find any updated information on the summer program for 2017. Can anyone provide information regarding the 2017 program? And if not, any past experiences you may have had with the program? Thanks!
What sort of information are you looking for? The btft.org site provides an application for 2017 and basic info about the program. The program runner’s email is on the application too.
I applied, there were lots of technical difficulties though. Their fax machine wasn’t working and my computer wasn’t allowing me to fill out the form. Had to email PDFs, it was so complicated.
I applied as well. I received a confirmation email, but has anyone received an email/phone call about an interview or an update in their application status?
On one part of the website it says that scholarship winners will be notified by May 1st while another part of the website says May 15th.
@adventuresabroad maybe may 1st is when they will announce semi finalists and may 15th finalists. Haven’t heard anything, received a confirmation email as well.
@pinkbarbie do you think they’ll contact us either way?(if they want to interview us or not)
planning my summer so last minute stresses me out
@AdventuresAbroad they just emailed me, I’m a semi finalist! There are 16 interview slots and only 10 open spots for the program so fingers crossed 
No word for me so it seems I wasn’t selected. I need to decide about another program asap so I hope bftf lets people know either way soon. I usually have my summer more planned out by now.

@Dane66 no the interview wasn’t hard, but I guess we’ll see how I did based on if I get in or not lol. Honestly the process for this program is crazy easy considering how amazing of an opportunity it is. I definitely recommend applying.
