<p>Hey, I just got this scholarship in the mail! My parents are thrilled (as you might guess). It's 12k per year. Did anybody else get this scholarship? How many people get it? Also, I was wondering if I got this, that means I won't be receiving any other scholarships. I got a junior book award from Rochester (for the Bausch and Lomb science award), that supposedly made me eligible for a large scholarship. When will that one be awarded?</p>
<p>I got the Rush Rhees Scholarship too. But my parents were less than thrilled, because I got no other scholarships or need based aid (besides a loan) and my parents can't afford to pay $38,000 per year. But Congratulations and I don't know the answer to any of your other questions.</p>
<p>I think if you receive many scholarship, then they only take the one with highest amount. I don't know about junior book award...anyway, I got dean's scholarship ($8000) and financial aid totaling 35,100 dollars per year...I am really surprised how much grant they are giving out!</p>

<p>I got the Rush Rhees as well. I'm betting that you could probably get multiple scholarships. But, you'd think that they would have told you by now if you were getting any additional ones, considering that financial aid packages are going out and they know you'll be comparing fin aid. with other schools. it's in their best interest to tell you now about any other scholarships. i would call and ask though.</p>

I also got a book award from URochester in my junior year that promised a (lower) scholarship and I haven't heard anything about that one- I've been assuming that the Rush Rhees scholarship replaced the lower one. So my feeling is that we won't get multiple scholarships, but I haven't contacted them about it and don't know for sure.</p>
<p>Are there any other scholarships other than Rush Rhees? That seems to be the one most people are getting. (Besides the Renaissance Scholarship which required additional interview.)</p>
<p>There are a lot of other scholarships. Take a look at the website. Last year, my d got the Wilson Trustee Scholarship. I'm sure it exists this year, too.</p>
<p>The OP got two awards (scholarships) consistent with what my daughter received a few years ago. Not sure if Rochester caps scholarships now, but in her case $10,000 + $6,000 = $11,000, unfortunately not $16,000. Something for you to check out.</p>
