From what I see Bentley has a better rank on undergraduate business programme, but its rank is not as good as BU in general. But seems that BU is more recognized in the nation or even world wide, though people have been criticizing the job placement and the grade deflation about it.

Do you think I should pick one which is better in business and focus mainly on business or to go BU which I can take some other minors? Is BU’s career service/connection and grade deflation a big problem?

Also, in terms of other factors such as general teaching quality, students/professors there or social scene, which one do you think is better?

Thank you very much

I know what Babson is but I have to think for a few minutes to remember what Bentley is, which says something about their actual mind share here in Boston where I live. It’s somewhere in Waltham, I think, but I can’t place it.

I really liked Bentley - it seemed smaller and more attention to the students. The campus itself is one of the prettiest I have ever seen. I am from California and had never heard of Bentley. Hope some others that know both colleges will have some insight

My point is that ratings say very little about real life. Not many people are aware of Bentley, not even compared to Babson.

but the business program in bentley seems to be much better
is the ‘prestige’ of BU that important?
though i’m worried about its career service and ‘grade deflation’

thank you anyway!

IF you want to go to Bentley, go there.

I’m not talking about prestige. I’m talking about recognition at a more basic level. Ratings aren’t drawn from universal data.

BTW, I think the absolute worst things are these ratings books. The rankings are garbage and are manipulated for marketing reasons.

Search for grade deflation on this board. There isn’t any.

I don’t know about career services but I would assume both SMG and Bentley, as business schools, have all sorts of placement. I have no idea how a high school student thinks one could be evaluated as better than the other. It’s not like a school has magic tickets for life success. If there’s a difference, it’s marginal and likely personal, as in your experience is not the same as the next student’s.

thank you very much again Lergnom
i do like both BU and Bentley, but they just have different pros and cons that make me hard to choose

thanks again, u help a lot!
