Bentley rated in top 25 accounting programs in US

According to the Public Accounting report, which takes both industry and professors’ opinions into account, Bentley was ranked within the top 25 schools for both its undergrad and graduate program in accounting.

For the article, go to: http://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/news/pressreleases/PAR_06.pdf

The full list is on page 7 of the report. Thus, you need to scroll down the report.

Although I don’t know where I read this, they have one of the top 4 masters in financial planning programs in the US too.

Do you trust this ranking? If you do than you should agree with the statement that Northern Illinois University, University of Alabama, University of Missoury and North Carolina State are better than Bentley in accounting. And in this case the famous TRADING ROOM and other facilities which draw people to Bentley loose value, because Northern Illinois, U of Alabama, U of Missoury and North Carolina still provide better education in accounting.

I don’t trust rankings. In my opinion the only way to determine which university is better are the facts.

the trading room is for finance , not accounting.

Dolo2, I certainly don't think that number 8 in the rankings may necessary be better than number 13 or that number 17 is necessarily worse than number 6. The rankings give an overall indication of quality.

As I noted in another post (business forum), it is the GPA that is crucial. As long as a student attends a top 30 or so accounting program, and has a strong GPA, the school that he attends is almost immaterial.
