Bentley vs. Babson?

So I was accepted into both schools (yay!), but I don't know which I should go to. I have to pay about the same amount for both schools (24k in grants from Babson, but 19.8k in scholarships that is renewable for all four years from Bentley). I'm thinking of going into accounting and finance.
If anyone can offer some advice, it would be really appreciated.

First, congrats for being accepted!

Have you visited both schools? Perhaps sitting in on one of their classes can give you a better feel for each school.

Bentley seems to rank well in accounting and OK for finance. Babson is also a great school. Although mostly known for entrepreneurship, I thought their finance department was impressive.

Both schools are pretty much the same but since you are interested in accounting and finance, it seems the favor is more for Bentley.

There are several threads on here…

Babson is more well known, but both are pretty decent as long as you’re only interested in business.

Did you look at any of the bigger name business schools in Boston (MIT, BC, Northeastern, BU)?

First of all, congratulations on being accepted to two great schools! Being a current undergraduate student at Babson I don’t know much about Bentley’s programs, but I can tell you that my decision to attend Babson was one of the best I have ever made. Despite the fact that we are known for being the #1 entrepreneurial school, we also have excellent programs in both accounting and finance that would suit your needs. Ultimately though, which school to attend is a personal choice that should be based on fit and where you feel the most comfortable. Don’t hesitate to contact either office of admissions if you have any questions and best of luck in your decision making process!

Just wanted to provide some additional information about Babson’s finance and accounting programs specifically, both of which are Top 20 programs according to BusinessWeek. In finance, Babson offers the Cutler Investment Center where students gain real-world experience in a research center that was modeled after Fidelity Investments’ headquarters. You can also join the Babson College Fund where students, faculty and staff manage over a million dollars of the College’s endowment. In accounting, Babson offers an accelerated Master of Science in Accounting program where students complete their MSA in the summer after they graduate. In four years, you’ll have your bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as the required credits you need to sit for the CPA. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions about the programs or Babson in general!

Thank you for all the answers! I have visited both schools, and I found that I prefered Bentley’s building and atmosphere more. However, I plan to go back and visit both schools again because when I visited it was on a horridly humid summer day.
Out of curiosity, how would you rate Babson’s career services?
