Berkeley 2012 - what are my chances?

So, I live in NJ and I am applying to UC Berkeley for 2012. The following is basically my profile:

SAT: 2080 (CR: 620, M: 780, W: 680)
SAT II Chem: 780
SAT II Math II: 780
SAT II Bio (M) : 720

GPA: Weighted- 4.02 (out of a possible 4.44) Unweighted - (3.74)

Classes: AP Calc BC, AP Chem, AP Economics, AP European History (12th grade)
AP Physics, AP Statistics (11th grade)
AP Spanish Language, AP Bio (10th grade)

I have a lot of extracurricular activities (Key Club, Volunteering at Hospital etc)
I have 2 jobs

I had all A' freshman year, all A's and 2 B's in sophomore, all A's and 3 B+ 's in junior year

My dad's friend is a professor at Columbia University. I worked with him for two years on a research project that I talked about in my Berkeley essay. I also got a recommendation letter from this prof. Hope that helps

Living in NJ is a problem because I heard that out of state applicants have a disadvantage at Berkeley. Please tell me if i have a chance here!! I really want to pursue engineering here. Let me know if you nee anything more.

With that SAT score and GPA, I don’t see it happening. Any amazing ECs? From what you’ve listed, those are quite average ECs. What are your two jobs? If they’re anything like research w/ a Colombia professor, that’d greatly help your chances. Lastly, Berkeley/all UC’s actually like out of state applicants. They rack up more money!

well, my sat 1 scores meet up to the collegeboard data for berkeley, so idk where you got that. And I kind of agree with the GPA but i have challenged myself too. My two jobs are tutoring and crew member at Wendys. I have over 400+ hours of community service, which is why i didnt bother to list the ec…I also am on the track team.

My weighted gpa is actually 4.17 (out of 4.44) unweighted is like (3.75)

Guys once again…i had calculated my gpa wrong in the beginning…i have a 4.17 (out of 4.44)
