i was recently admitted into berkeley but had a mistake on my app where i just wrote what would be calculated towards my gpa and not exactly what course I took. I took a course sophomore year but had to retake it due to bad grades and I just entered the grade that I got during my junior year when I retook the class. does that mean i get my admission cancelled?
Call admissions and talk to them. Wouldn’t the bad grades be on your transcript?
For the UC’s you are required to report both grades if you repeat the class but the repeat grade would be the only grade calculated into your UC GPA. However, since both grades will be on your HS transcript, you need to contact admissions and let them know of the omission sooner than later. If you enroll at any school your self reported grades must match your transcript or your acceptance can be rescinded. Be proactive and let them know.
thank you so much. this is just for my personal satisfaction but do you think they’ll cancel my admission? i plan on updating them and telling them also that i’ve gotten a 4.0 for my first semester of senior year and a few accomplishments from the past few months along with my grade update.
yeah, but i mistaken their gpa policy as putting down what would be calculated. it was definitely a misunderstanding on my part but i couldn’t ask people because I did my application SUPER last minute.
I cannot tell you for sure that they will not cancel your acceptance, but highly doubtful as long as you are proactive.
It’s easy to explain, just all admissions and tell them that your misunderstood. What made you think of this now? I doubt very much there will be any trouble but definitely call or email admissions. Good luck!
Thank you so much. I’ll be calling them today at 12 PM PST to correct the mistake and also update them with some accomplishments that I’ve gotten over the past few months. Thank you again.
I was looking over the app with a friend of mine who wanted to see my essays and I was mindlessly going through my academic profile. Thank you for the reassuring words though, this made me feel a bit better. I’ll update this forum after calling them today at 12 PM PST. Thanks again:)
