Berkeley and grade trends?

I'm applying at UC Berkeley this year from a CCC. I'm transferring after one year because during highschool I took about 2 college classes a semester. So, I have a 4.0 so far, but this is the first semester I have taken more than 3 classes (taking 5) and I'm nervous I might get a B this semester. This will turn my GPA to a 3.93. If this does happen, how badly will berkeley look at this??

Thank you.

if ur coming in junior status it won’t make a difference because ur gpa is still better than most transfers. If u want u could take a course P/NP if it’s offered, they allow up to 14 units This way.

can the course be on igetc? Like could I take my engish class P/NP?

English should be taken for a letter grade

Okay so if it is not a required course then I can take it P/NP?

you can if your CC considers a P equivalent to a C.
“IGETC courses must be completed with a grade of C or better. A grade of Credit or Pass may be used if the community college’s policy states it is equivalent to a grade of C or better.”

sorry about that. courses on igetc like english can be. just depends.

ooh i see…well, thank you so much for your help :)

P/NP’s almost always count as a grade equal to “C” or higher. I mean, if you get a “D” in the class, that’s failure, that’s NP. If you get a P, it’s uniformly understood as a C or better at Graduate schools and Law Schools.
