I love UCLA! I’ve been in NorCal for my entire life and can’t wait to get out! I love UCLA it’s beautiful, and SUNNY!

I really wanted to have my SIR submitted at UCLA even before Cal’s admissions came out, just because that would be funny, but I didn’t have time, I expected Cal’s decision to come out later today

i’m choosing Haas at Cal if they can sort out the classes listed under conditions of admission for me, i’d hate to end up at ucla for econ when i have this opportunity…

Bear??? Dude ever since I went to community college I was thinking of UCLA… but last Friday, spent the day at Berkeley and thought it was pretty sick. Go Bears?? (or Bruins??) Most likely Bears. yeah!! ('cept Oski’s ugly :()

I applied to UCLA and Cal with my heart set on being a bruin. I wasn’t too confident about getting into Cal so I wasn’t really considering it. But now that I’ve got into both schools…I’m starting to reconsider. I live about an hour north of LA and I have a lot of family there, too, so I guess you could say that its distance and location is very convenient. But then again, I’ve never experienced Nor Cal so I don’t want to make a decision too quickly; I feel like I really need to visit Cal’s campus since I’ve been to UCLA before. Oh well, at least we’ve got another month to decide!

I was accepted into both! Although I like the environment of UCLA a lot, I think I’m actually leaning towards Berkeley right now. At Berkeley, I was accepted into a preferable major. If I decided to go to UCLA, I’d have to spend my summer taking this really tough class to satisfy their pre-requisite. Also, Berkeley is typically ranked in the top 3 for my major (computer science). So…it’s pretty appealing right now. Just have to go and visit!

got accepted into UCLA and CAL- leaning toward UCLA- I am tempted to go with Cal based on the prestige, but otherwise UCLA seems consistently a better fit for me- and they are tied in the rankings for my major- philosophy- have to go check them out and go with my intuition!

UCLA over Cal. Cal is amazing and the campus is great (Although the area around the campus is no great shakes, with the notable exception of Top Dog), but UCLA is for me. The reasons are as follows;

1) A bunch of great friends go to UCLA, two of whom I will be rooming with next year
2) UCLA has many more choices when it comes to Linguistics, including the major I want

There are other reasons such as the UCLA Linguistics program being ranked higher than Cal, but it’s only by a few positions and Cal is ranked a few positions higher overall. In the end, U.S. News is not going to make my decision for me.

SIR’ed to UCLA the day transfer decisions came out.
