Berkeley Asking for More info

So i received the other day an email from Berkeley that asked me to provide more information for a setence I have in my essay.

While I was just thinking if anybody received such email and would this be good or bad?

I mean, I guess its good because they are reading my application in "DEATAIL"

nevermind…

difanchen-when did you turn in your application for uc transfer?

Neither is it good, nor bad and it DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING. People will come on here and speculate this and that. All they are doing is asking for some clarification on a point they may be having a little difficulty understanding. And they are supposed to read ALL applications (maybe they have some sort of “cutoff point” above which they use extra care) in detail.

On this board I have seen people who were contacted and asked for info, who were denied later, and I’ve also seen people who were accepted later. That’s why it means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

you’ll find out in a couple weeks. at least you know theyve read your personal statement thoroughly.

Does Berkeley normally ask for info???

I applied there also and have yet been asked anything about my personal statements

I suppose they will only ask for info if they need FURTHER CLARIFICATION on something

A few weeks back ucla asked.me for validity for an activity that I did. I faxed them a letter from my volunteer supervisor for Confirmation of my activity.

I’m guessing if they’re asking you to clarify something on your PS, then there might be a contradiction between what you wrote and the ECs or whatever that you listed. That’s just my guess though.

Btw, does the email ask you to respond within five days or something like that?

A week. 10 charaters.
