So I’m a junior who was looking at the freshman profile of UC Berkeley and I saw on Berkeley’s website that the average GPA of the freshman class was 4.41. However, on the General UC website it says that the average GPA was 4.19. Which one is it?

Berkeley’s website uses the uncapped UC GPA whereas the UC website uses the capped UC GPA.
4.41 is uncapped (unlimited number of bonus GPA points for AP, UC-approved honors, and college courses)
4.19 is capped (limit of 8 bonus GPA points)

Uncapped holds the most weight for UCLA and UCB. The others use capped.
Do uncapped GPA’s still exclude PE and other non A-G requirement classes?
Yes, both capped and uncapped GPAs only consider A-G classes from 10th-11th grades.
