Berkeley Chance for CNR?

is it true that the college of natural resources at berkeley has a high acceptance rate and is more lenient towards students with slightly lower test scores and gpa than the college of letters and science does?

if its true, i dont plan to take advantage of it because i always planned to apply for a forestry major at berkeley, but i think i would find more comfort knowing that i have a slightly better chance

chance me please?

again, planning to apply to UC berkeley College of Natural Resources for Forestry

I’d say you have a good chance, especially because of your EC’s. It’s really cool that they go perfectly together with your college and major of choice, which is going to make your application stand out from the other ones who may not have as much major “experience” as you. Very cool list of EC’s :)

Yes to all your questions, and it is a fabulous major! CNR is a great little college within the university – super nice people; includes a semester – kind of like an internship, in places such as Costa Rica or summer in Yosemite. So much fun!

Berkeley is also only one of 2 UCs (Davis is the other) that has a major in Forestry.

^CNR does have the nicest people. People are really laid-back and helpful.

It looks like you have a good chance, considering the fall 2011 freshman profile:

[University of California - Freshman admission profile](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/campuses/berkeley/freshman-profile/index.html)

do you know by how much more they accept, percentage wise?

Don’t think there’s stats that quantify. All I know is higher. Just apply. If you really want to go, are you really going to weigh the law of averages, or are you going to roll the dice and hope you hit it lucky? It’s never 100%. It’s never 0% either.

You’re going to get in.
