I'm currently a community college student and I plan on applying to UC Berkeley as a computer science major this fall for the Fall 2014 semester. I have a 3.8 GPA, this fall I will pretty much complete IGETC certification, and I am taking some major prep classes like most of the math my college has to offer and I am starting to take physics and computer science/programming classes. I am also a tutor at the college I go to. If I do get in, I also hope to get in the co-op housing so I could pay less to live there. I wanted to know how my chances are in getting to UC Berkeley. Keep in mind, that other than math I pretty much just started taking my major prep classes, so I was wondering if I should take another year to take those classes that are offered at my community college. Please feel free to give me any other tips to broaden my chances in getting in UCB.
