Hi! I’m having a really tough decision of what college to attend and would really appreciate some input. Going to Berkeley would be divine, but I would need a $20k loan and studying my second choice major–Conservation and Resource Studies with Computer Science as a minor. If I went to UCI, I could study Informatics (informational science) and continue working a corporate job so I wouldn’t have to take out any loans. I eventually want to work in the tech industry in the SF Bay area.
All things considered for my situation, I think UCI outshines Berkeley, right?
Would switching schools (CNS to L&S) and majors be a possibility at Berkeley? I heard changing majors after transferring is nearly impossible, but some of the forums on here lead me to believe otherwise.
