Berkeley dropout seeking advice

hey there,

I dropped out in 2012 for personal and financial reasons. declared political science major. I have one year remaining to complete that degree. even without a degree and no work experience, somehow I lucked out and landed a job in operations at one of the best start-ups in the bay. now I'm taking my time returning to school.

wanted to know two things:
1. can I change my major even with only one year left?
2. would i be able to my education at a university other than Berkeley?

question 2 - complete my education****

First of all, you would have to apply for readmission to the university if you wish to resume you studies here, see this page: http://registrar.berkeley.edu/readmission.html

For your second question, I believe you can, but you would be applying as a transfer student with more than the usual amount of credits. You should see an adviser about this question.

Possibly, depending on whether you can satisfy the conditions listed at http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/major/change.html (mainly that you have approval from the new department and can complete the major within the unit ceiling). Of course, if it is a capped enrollment major, you would have to otherwise be admitted to it.

That depends on whether the other school will admit you as a high-unit transfer student. UC campuses’ policies are listed at <a href=“University of California Counselors”>University of California Counselors; . If you wish to graduate with a degree from Berkeley, note the senior and upper division residence requirements at http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/requirement/summary.html .
