<p>I was browsing the Berkeley financial aid website, when I read, quote "Our financial [gift] aid offer is in no way a reflection of our judgment of your talent and accomplishments aid offers from Cal are based on financial circumstances, not academic merit." Is this really so? I always under the impression that gift aid was disbursed on basis of merit.</p>
<p>Speaking of finaid, can anyone see their amount for 2011-2012 year? </p>
<p>They said they would have it up at the beginning of May for continuing students, but I can’t see anything.</p>
