I might not be able to log onto CC tomorrow if im at school when admission desicions roll out but basically I was curious to see the correlation between people who got the Fin Aid email from berkeley and if they got accepted or not.

So Only post if you got the email, simple responses will do

Format:

Got email / Accepted

or

Got email / Not accepted

might be interesting to know for next years applicants, and im personally curious to know if Cal let this one slip lol

well, according to yunie’s cousin, sakura or something like that on this board (she works in the admissions office), the email was accidentally leaked by someone in the financial aid office.

i got the email and i’ll be reporting back tomorrow for sure

"We didn’t get any email last year because this year someone in the FA office let this one “leak.” The office was super busy after two this afternoon because Transfer students were calling. Someone is going to get a longgg talk. "

I’m not sure what else it could mean? Does it mean that those people who received the email are only admits who have outstanding paperwork to be done? Or was it a mass email sent to ALL admits?

^
You’re welcome! I can’t sleep either and I have class in a couple of hours. ;__;

Well…the way I look at it, and going back to the URSA hacks and all, I don’t see why FA why would waste their time going through your file if you’re not going to be accepted, you know? But I didn’t get the email from Cal’s FA, possibly because I’m not missing any paperwork/am up for verification which was the case with UCLA.

I also received the email from FA. I also checked my Cal Grant status and for school of attendance, Berkley was listed. Can someone else check their Cal Grant app?
