Hey i've been admitted to berkeley for spring 2013 and i'm in the Fall Program for Freshman (FPF) in 2012. I'd like some feedback and opinions about the following classes i'm planning on taking up this fall:

1) History 7B
2) Asian American History 20A
3) Anthropology 1
4)Political Science 2

Some questions: Is taking all four classes for the fall semester too much? How's the bell curve like (and the grades like) for all these classes i.e. easy to get As? Do they tend to be very crowded? Thanks!

Four normal size (4 units) courses would be a typical course load.

What major(s) are you considering?

AAS20A is a breeze as long as you’re not super lazy and can write (weekly logs that you turn in each week+4 field trip reports+midterm+10 page interview paper that is easily bs-able+final). You really don’t have to do any of the readings, and prof. Dong is the sweetest person you will ever meet! (not a great lecturer, and rather boring lectures, but you watch movies a lot and he’s flexible if your class pushes him enough). Not curved, but don’t mess up on the multiple choice questions on the midterms - killed a few of my friends since it was like -2% or something.

I found anthro 1 really easy (2 midterms+final), and Gary is AMAZING!!! That being said, the class is really just brute memorization of the primate lineage and stuff…which I am good at so I never really had to study lol others said it took a lot of time…he curved, and I think it helped everyone.

Don’t know much about the others, but they were more work from what I heard. I took math 1B and ESPM 2 along with those two. Insanely easy semester lolol
