<p>I originally really wanted to go to Rice but had a few people say I should aim higher. Help?</p>

<p>It looks like you have a decent chance.
Your APs may hurt though.
However, seeing as how most of these schools are highly competitive, nothing is certain. Princeton, and even Berkeley, are reaches for almost anybody.
Rice is ranked in the top 25, I’d say it is aiming pretty high.
It also depends heavily on your recos and your common app/ UC app and whether or not you’re applying ED. For a school like Hopkinds, the ED acceptance rate rises to approx 33%!</p>
